"Great location & well presented hotel"
The Reval Hotel Central is indeed Central, and only a 5 min walk to Tallinn's amazing UNESCO World Heritage Old Town. Although the hotel is on a main road the entrance is down an alleyway.
My room (602)was a 'standard single' and is one of the smallest rooms I've ever stayed in. But, it was modern, very clean and the bed comfortable. TV had english channels, pay movies, bathroom was tiny with only a shower, but again very clean. No tea/coffee facilities.
Breakfast in the lobby seemed to be a free-for-all with people walking in off the street, but it was a hot buffet with a good choice and there is plenty of seating available.
All in all cheap, tidy, well located and fine for a short stopover.

"Excellent Tourist Class Hotel"
We stayed here as part of a lads weekend away.
Late review due to only just knowing about website....
Excellent hotel, slightly away from the touristy areas such as the old square, but well within walking distance.
The staff are very friendly & extremely helpful.
Highly recommended is the rental of the spa room, for about Ł25 per hour you can rent the spa room which has its own sauna & hot tub as well as showers and a WC. Great for relaxing after a hard day walking around.... even better I'd imagine if you go as a couple!
The breakfast is very good and the hotel bar isn't over priced - there is even an off licence across the road if you want alcohol cheaper!

"Brilliant, centrally located hotel"
The Reval Central is a moden hotel about 10 minutes walk from Tallinn old town in a safe neighbourhood. The reception, bar and breakfast area have all been very recently redecorated to a high standard. Our room was a good size given the price we paid and was clean. (Only gripe was that the shower leaked.)
Breakfast was plentiful and a good range from continental to cooked, all tastes catered for. One of the days we were there there was a huge queue as they seemed to have bussed people in from someplace else which was a tad annoying.
The Reval Central is also about 10 mins from the harbour where you can get the ferry to Helsinki which is well worth a visit. We went with Lindalines as its the fastest and cheapest. It departs from Linnehall not the main pasenger terminal.
The hotel bar is very comfortable and served as an excellent refuge from the russian rioters which sadly hit the city while we were there!
The staff couldn't be faulted, were all very helpful and friendly and spoke excellent english (as did most estonians).

"very pleasant"
Stayed here on a trip with work. I'm surprised it's only 2 stars as I thought it was very nice.
We were interrupted 3 times by the cleaner one morning, but having had a very late night we were still in bed at 2 in the afternoon, and hadn't put our "do not disturb" sign out.

"Exceeded expectations"
Stayed in the Reval Central for 4 nights as part of a large group and could not fault it. The reception staff are efficient, helpful and friendly and the rooms are much bigger than average with good facilities. Breakfast was plentiful with a huge selection.
Top tip: request a room on the 6th floor and you should get a balcony.
We ate out en masse at a fabulous restaurant in the old town square that I cannot recommend highly enough. The waiting staff dealt with 23 boisterous Scots with fantastic charm and good humour. It was called Mariekhva

"nicely located, beutiful decorated"
We saw a review here and making a special reservation for a room on the 6th floor, at arrival, we get what we want, and we were surprised for the price we pay for such a quality hotel!
The breakfast are typical, with no surprises, and it is literally minutes away from the old towns. Tips: slightly opposite to the hotel, and to the baseground at the Viru shopping centre, there's the supermarket. It is great to stock up if you're staying in Tallinn.
Transport are great, and make sure if you're looking for a taxi, ask the hotel to call one up for you. So that, you have less chance to get ripped off, and stayed warm indoors instead of trying to catch one yourself |
